When I first heard about the club doing a production of The Vagina Monologues, I wasn’t sure what to expect. A group of women, some of us strangers, coming together to say that word — loudly, on a stage. What could go wrong?

In a short time, we pulled together something I can only describe as miraculous. Something real happened in that room — both on stage and in the audience. 

Every ticket and every donation went toward supporting Donya, and that is the reason we showed up, learned our lines, stood in front of an audience, and told the truth. Women everywhere deserve safety, dignity, and support. 

Together, we raised over €3,300 for Donya.
