Melissa Dreier

Melissa Drier is the German correspondent for fashion trade bible, Women’s Wear Daily. A fashion
and cultural journalist of more than 40 years standing, the born and bred New Yorker traded the Big
Apple for Berlin in 1985. It’s a move she has never regretted.

Marte Henschel, Founder & CEO Sourcebook

Sourcebook is a networking service for the fashion industry connecting local textile producers, service providers and manufacturers directly to established and emerging creatives of the design sector.

Thekla Wilkening, Co-Founder of Kleiderei

For some reason my Co-founder Pola Fendel and I were always sensitive to the ways of how fashion is produced lately, and we developed a reluctance towards shopping which led us to flea markets or sharing our clothes with each other, when we needed/wanted a new outfit. Growing older we saw ourselves trapped – time for flea markets got less and finding a cool sustainable outfit on demand was a challenge. So when we, on a night with wine, came up with the idea of renting clothes to everyone, it seemed so logical

She has recently partnered with Lectra Deutschland, Galeries Lafayette and the European Institute for Participatory Media, as well as a number of independent designers worldwide – and is looking for new and exciting collaborations in the future
